ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has suspended all of its officials and also dissolved the Pakistan Hockey Federation.
A suspension notice was issued on the instructions of the Prime Minister’s Office. According to the announcement, the review of clubs across the country should take place under the supervision of the Sports Council.
PHF election process under PSB’s supervision should be completed in a transparent manner at the earliest, the notification read.
The Selection Committee, Asian Games team management and hockey camp are retained while all other has been suspended.
Punjab Sports Council Director General Muhammad Tariq Qureshi had earlier said that the promotion of hockey is the top priority of the government as it is a national sport.
