Pakistan, Indus Valley benefited from Bhudda’s civilisation
Akram said that the soil of Pakistan and the Indus Valley have immensely benefitted from the civilization, which the Buddha introduced to the world, as fully manifested in the Gandhara civilization in the ancient city of Taxila and the sacred shrine of Takht-i-Bahi.
He said that the sacred Day of Vesak provided an opportunity to reflect on the everlasting wisdom of Buddha.
The envoy said that peace is a vision of humanity and understanding that supersedes national and international differences and which is so vital to cope with the complexities and the turbulent challenges of today. –APP
