LONDON: The Pakistan High Commission in London organized a Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir Seminar on Friday, condemning India’s unilateral and illegal actions of August 5, 2019, where it revoked the special status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The seminar witnessed the participation of UK Parliamentarians, members of the Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora, prominent locals, representatives of human rights organizations, and media representatives.

In his address, High Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Faisal highlighted the plight of the Kashmiri people and asked the international community to pay attention to the ongoing human rights abuses committed by the Indian forces in IIOJK. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the self-determination cause of the Kashmiri people.

Dr. Faisal strongly condemned India’s illegal actions that led to the revocation of IIOJK’s special status. He emphasized India’s tactics of land grab, eviction of locals, media suppression, and other efforts to alter the demography, culture, and political identity of the region.
