DHAKA: The Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, hosted the largest-ever Pakistan Education Expo today, featuring representatives from over 15 top-ranked Pakistani universities.
The event is part of the Pakistan–Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor initiative, announced during Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar’s visit to Bangladesh in August, which included 500 scholarships for Bangladeshi students to study in Pakistan.
The Expo aims to familiarize Bangladeshi students with scholarship opportunities and promote academic collaboration, reflecting the shared vision of Pakistan and Bangladesh to strengthen bilateral ties in education, research, and innovation.
Mahbub-ul-Alam, Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports of Bangladesh, attended as Chief Guest, alongside Dr. Fakhrul Islam, Secretary of the University Grants Commission, vice chancellors, principals, civil society members, Pakistani HEC representatives, and hundreds of students.

Aftab Ahmed, Rector of the National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences, highlighted the Knowledge Corridor and scholarship opportunities, emphasizing Pakistan’s top-ranked institutions across medicine, engineering, IT, social sciences, agriculture, AI, and emerging technologies.
High Commissioner Imran Haider described the Expo as a milestone in academic mobility, joint research, and preparing future-ready youth, calling it a symbol of friendship, trust, and shared vision. Students engaged actively with university representatives to learn about programs, admissions, and scholarships.
Following Dhaka, the Pakistan Education Expo will travel to Chittagong (November 26), Rajshahi (November 28), and Sylhet (November 30) to expand access for students across Bangladesh.
