ISLAMABAD: On Wednesday, the per tola price of 24-carat gold surged by Rs. 1,000, reaching Rs. 220,600, marking a notable increase from its previous value of Rs. 219,600 on the last trading day.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold experienced an Rs. 857 hikes, now priced at Rs. 189,129 as opposed to the earlier Rs. 188,272.
According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the rates for 10 grams of 22-carat gold rose to Rs. 173,368 from the previous Rs. 172,582.
In the silver market, the per tola price saw a Rs. 30 increment, settling at Rs. 2,680. Simultaneously, the ten-gram silver price rose by Rs. 25.72, reaching Rs. 2,297.66.
The international gold market also experienced an upswing, with the price of gold increasing by $13 to $2,085 from the previous $2,072, as reported by the Association. —APP
