ISLAMABAD: Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Gohar Ejaz, and the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, concluded their final round of negotiations in Riyadh by signing a joint statement.

The statement expressed mutual anticipation for the swift signing, ratification, and execution of the Agreement. Following this, there will be an internal administrative and approval process before the agreement is officially signed and put into effect.
This represents a notable milestone, being the first Free Trade Agreement entered into by the GCC with any country since 2009, signifying a significant advancement in the economic cooperation between both parties.
