ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Foreign Office briefed the resident diplomatic missions in Islamabad on Pakistan’s Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) on Friday.

The briefing session was chaired by the Foreign Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the federal capital.

Dr. Jehanzeb Khan, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Government Effectiveness, presented a comprehensive presentation to the diplomatic missions on the establishment and diverse facets of the Council.

He specifically spoke about Pakistan’s investment prospects in the four sectors of information technology, agriculture, energy, and mining.

The participants were urged to inform and persuade their respective governments to capitalize on Pakistan’s potential as a resource-rich nation.

Pakistan’s SIFC is a ‘One-Window’ Platform

The SIFC was recently established by the Government of Pakistan to act as a “One-Window” platform to expedite the decision-making process, encourage and enable foreign direct investment in the country.
