ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s security forces have killed three “Indian sponsored” terrorists in two separate counterterrorism operations in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military’s media wing said on Monday.
“On 2 November 2025, three khwarij belonging to Indian Proxy Fitna al Khwarij were killed in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
The state uses the term Fitna al Khwarij to refer to terrorists belonging to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). It has also designated Balochistan-based groups as Fitna al Hindustan to highlight India’s role in terrorism and destabilisation across Pakistan.
According to the statement, a group of terrorists was trying to infiltrate through Pakistan-Afghanistan in the Esham area of North Waziristan district.
The military’s media wing added that the security forces effectively engaged this group of terrorists, and as a result of a precise and skillful operation, two terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij were sent to hell.
“It is significant to highlight that one of the killed khwarij has been identified as Kharji Qasim, an Afghan national who was actively serving in the Afghan Border Police,” ISPR said.
It further said that in another intelligence-based operation conducted in Tank District, the troops successfully neutralised another Kharji belonging to an Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij, who was identified as Kharji Ikramuddin, alias Abu Dajana, also an Afghan national.
The ISPR added that these incidents reveal the continued involvement of Afghan nationals in numerous terrorist activities against innocent civilians and security forces inside Pakistan.
Pakistan has consistently urged the Interim Afghan Government to implement effective border management on their side and is expected to fulfill their obligations by preventing Afghan territory from being used by Khwarij and stopping the involvement of Afghan citizens in acts of terrorism within Pakistan.

ISPR in the statement expressed the resolve of the security forces to defend the nation’s frontiers.
The military’s media wing said a sanitisation operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored Kharji found in the area.
It said the relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
Pakistan has witnessed a surge in cross-border terror incidents since Taliban rulers returned to Afghanistan in 2021, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces.
