ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office has expressed deep condolences to the families of Pakistani pilgrims who tragically lost their lives in a road accident in Yazd, Iran.
At the directive of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, the Consul of Pakistan in Zahidan has been assigned to manage the situation on-site.
This includes coordinating with local authorities for medical relief and arranging the repatriation of the deceased, predominantly from Sindh province.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has activated its Crisis Management Unit to support these efforts, while the Pakistani Ambassador in Tehran and the Consul in Zahidan are liaising with Iranian officials to expedite recovery and repatriation processes.
