ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with Bahrain, stressing the need for de-escalation, dialogue, and regional peace.
He said this during a telephonic conversation with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, a Foreign Office statement said on Tuesday.
“They exchanged views on the developments in the Middle East and the wider region, conveying grave concern over recent attacks, including in Bahrain,” it said.

Earlier, authorities in Bahrain have arrested an Indian national accused of transmitting sensitive information to Israel’s external intelligence agency, Mossad.
The suspect, identified as Nitin Mohan, a telecommunications engineer, is alleged to have shared geospatial data, photographs and video reconnaissance of strategic sites with the intelligence service.
Preliminary reports indicate that the material included imagery of locations and operational details that could potentially assist foreign intelligence assessments and targeting analysis.
The arrest comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East following the ongoing war involving Iran, Israel and the United States.
The war began on 28 February 2026 after joint US–Israeli airstrikes targeted Iranian military and government facilities, triggering a wider regional confrontation.
