ISLAMABAD: Different fruits and vegetables valued at 133.456 million US dollars were exported during the first 5 months of the ongoing financial year as compared to the exports of the same period of last year.

Pakistan’s vegetable exports during the period under review soared by 20.86%, while the fruit exports decreased by 37.24% as compared to the same period of the previous year.
During the period from July to November, about 423489 metric tons of vegetable worth 121.976 million dollars were exported as compared to the figure of 278244 metric tons valued at 100.926 million dollars in the same period of the previous year.
Fruits exports fell by 37.245%
However, the fresh fruit’s exports fell `by 37.245% as nearly 187744 metric tons of fruits valued at 111.480 million dollars were exported as compared to the 211640 metric tons worth 177.632 million dollars in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. –APP
