ISLAMABAD: The envoys of Pakistan in Australia and Mexico held separate interactions with the senior office holders of esteemed universities of the two countries and explored possibilities of cooperation in education and food security.
Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri, Pakistan’s High Commissioner in Australia, held a “productive” discussion with Professor Steve Rogers, the PVC of Darwin University, and Dr. Warren Hunt, the Project Manager of Northern Australia Food Technology Innovation. The focus of their meeting centred on exploring opportunities for joint efforts in food preservation technologies and bolstering food security initiatives, particularly between Pakistan and the Northern Territory.
Similarly, Ambassador Shozab Abbas, representing Pakistan in Mexico, met with Ricardo Barragan, the Director General of the Geology Institute at UNAM, Mexico. During their exchange, the ambassador highlighted the potential of Pakistani universities and advocated for strengthening educational ties between Pakistan and Mexico. —APP
