TOKYO: The Embassy of Pakistan in Tokyo observed Kashmir Black Day, shedding light on India’s unlawful occupation in Jammu and Kashmir. The event was attended by members of the Pakistani community, the Kashmiri diaspora, and Japanese media personnel.
Messages from the President, Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister of Pakistan were read during the event, emphasizing Pakistan’s unwavering support and solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their legitimate pursuit of self-determination.
Ambassador Raza Bashir Tarar highlighted the ongoing atrocities perpetrated by Indian occupation forces in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and reiterated Pakistan’s full backing for the Kashmir cause.
Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Convener of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), conveyed his views on the current repression and severe human rights violations inflicted on Kashmiris by India in a video message. Members of the Pakistani community also voiced their support for their Kashmiri brethren.
Earlier in the day, members of the Pakistani community and the Kashmiri diaspora staged a protest in front of the Indian Embassy in Tokyo, marking Kashmir Black Day and highlighting the extensive human rights violations committed by Indian security forces in IIOJK. They subsequently marched to the UN Office in Tokyo and submitted a demarche.
An accompanying photographic exhibition at the Embassy was open to visitors at the Consular Section, Japanese individuals, and the Pakistani diaspora.
