Pakistan Electoral Body to Review Delimitation Objections on November 1

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan electoral body will review 1,324 objections related to constituency delimitation on November 1 through its special benches.

As per the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) spokesperson, the objectors have been duly informed of their scheduled hearings, which will take place on November 1 and 2. Following a comprehensive evaluation of all objections, the official publication of constituency details is slated for November 30.

In response to objections submitted with the Election Commission from various provinces, the breakdown is as follows: 672 objections in Punjab, 228 in Sindh, 293 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 124 in Balochistan, and 7 in Islamabad.

It is important to note that the Election Commission had previously extended the deadline for filing objections related to constituency delimitation until 12:00 p.m. on October 27, 2023, in order to accommodate public input.
