ISLAMABAD: Islamabad has refuted claims by Indian media suggesting that it intends to supply Shaheen III missiles to Iran for use in its conflict with Israel.

Pakistan has vehemently denied recent international and social media reports claiming that it supplied non-nuclear ballistic missiles to Iran amidst escalating tensions in the Middle East, state-run PTV reported.

An Indian news website, News18 falsely reported that Pakistan intends to supply Shaheen III missiles to Iran amid its conflict with Israel.

Security and diplomatic sources in Islamabad have categorically rejected these allegations, terming them “baseless, frivolous, and part of a propaganda campaign.”

Indian propaganda

The reports were described as part of a propaganda campaign orchestrated by Indian media and some foreign outlets, it added.

The development came after a statement started circulating on social media regarding Pakistan’s involvement in the Israel-Iran standoff.

Diplomatic sources termed the statement “fake’” and said it falsely attributed a claim to Pakistan about delivering a “nuclear response” against Israel in support of Iran, the report further adds.
