Pakistan Continue Winning Streak, Beat Bangladesh 15-6 in Hockey’s Asia Cup

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan maintained their winning streak at the Men’s Hockey5s Asia Cup 2023, as they defeated Bangladesh 15-6 in their second match held in Salalah, Oman on Wednesday.

Rana Abdul Waheed Ashraf, the captain of Pakistan, scored four goals, while Arshad Liaquat Muhammad Abdullah contributed three goals each. Abdul Rehman, Ehtesham Aslam, Murtaza Yaqub, and Zakaria Hayat each scored one goal.

In recognition of his outstanding performance, Pakistan’s captain, Arshad Liaquat, received the Man of the Match award.

It was the Pakistan’s second consecutive victory in the Men’s Hockey5s Asia Cup 2023. In the opening game of the Asia Hockey World Cup Qualifier on Tuesday in Salalah, Pakistan defeated Japan 26-1.  For the victorious team, captain Rana Waheed scored eight goals, while Arshad Liaquat added five.

Pakistan Beats Japan in First Match

Earlier on Tuesday, Pakistan had won its opening match of Asia Hockey5s World Cup Qualifier in Salalah against Japan 26-1.

Arshad Liaquat scored five goals, while captain Rana Abdul Waheed scored eight goals for his side.
