Pakistan Continues to Provide Assistance to Lebanon

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) continues to provide humanitarian aid to the war-hit people of Lebanon and Gaza.

According to official media, in this regard, the 2nd consignment of help was dispatched from Karachi to Lebanon today.  This help shipment, sent by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in collaboration with Al-Khidmat Foundation, comprises about 100 tons of supplies, including ready-to-eat meat, medicines, tarpaulins, tents, winter clothing, warm bedding, and powdered milk, Radio Pakistan reported.

The assistance was dispatched through flight from Jinnah International Airport Karachi to Beirut, Lebanon. The sendoff ceremony was held at Jinnah International Airport was attended by the representatives from National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Al-Khidmat Foundation and local administration.

The participants highlighted the urgent need to provide relief to the war-torn people of Palestine and Lebanon, considering the current conflict and the needs of the affected communities.

They also reaffirmed the Government resolve to supporting their sisters and brothers in distress and stressed the significance of collaboration by welfare organizations and the Pakistani public in strengthening these efforts.

This is Pakistan’s 12th assistance shipment to Palestine and Lebanon.  Earlier, ten aid consignments were sent to assist the people of Palestine. Officials said that the Government of Pakistan continues to send relief supplies based on the needs of the war-hit populations of Lebanon.
