A double airstrike by Israeli forces on Nasser Hospital on August 25 resulted in the deaths of 21 individuals, including journalists and rescue personnel.
The incident has triggered global outrage and intensified concerns over the targeting of civilians and medical infrastructure in the ongoing conflict.
The attack drew strong condemnation from the United Nations, international human rights organizations, and several foreign governments, all of whom called for independent investigations and urgent measures to safeguard humanitarian zones in the war-torn Palestinian territory.
Pakistan has consistently called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and firmly supports a two-state solution, advocating for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Furthermore, the Foreign Office statement added that Pakistan also condemns in the “strongest possible terms the Israeli occupying forces’ incursion into the Syrian Arab Republic in contravention of international law and principles of the UN Charter”.
It said: “Pakistan expresses its full support for the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Syria, and calls on the international community to prevent Israel from undermining the peace and stability of the entire region.”
Syria has said that Israel’s “military incursion” in the southwestern Damascus countryside on Monday could jeopardize regional peace. Subsequently, Syrian state media noted six army officers were also killed in Israeli drone strikes.
