Pakistan Committed to Safeguard its Sovereignty, Regional Security: PM Kakar

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, said on Tuesday that being a peace-loving nation, Pakistan resolved to safeguard its sovereignty and regional security.

The prime minister, in a message on the 5th anniversary of Operation Swift Retort, paid glowing tributes to the professional capability and resolve of Pakistan’s armed forces.

On February 27, 2019, the Pakistan Air Force had shot down two Indian jets that had violated Pakistani airspace. One of the Indian pilots, Abhinandan Varthaman, was captured by Pakistan but was later handed over as a gesture of peace.

Pakistan’s Military Falsifies Indian Claims

PM Kakar said that the Pakistani armed forces had proved their operational superiority and falsified the Indian claims.

He said that no one should have doubt that Pakistan was a peace-loving nation that was determined to protect its sovereignty as well as regional security.

He reiterated the resolve that Pakistan would forcefully respond to any aggression against it.
