ISLAMABAD: Pakistan sealed the three-match T20I series 2-1 in style, registering their second consecutive convincing win by 57 runs over Bangladesh at the Gaddafi Stadium on Friday night.

After posting a formidable total of 201 runs, thanks to blistering half-centuries from Sahibzada Farhan and Hasan Nawaz, the home side backed it up with a disciplined bowling performance that left Bangladesh struggling throughout their chase.

Despite a brisk start led by Tanzid Hasan, who scored a fiery 33 off 19 balls, Bangladesh failed to maintain momentum and lost wickets at regular intervals. Only three batters managed to reach double figures, with Tanzim Hasan Sakib top-scoring with a fighting 50 off 31 balls. Mehidy Hasan Miraz chipped in with 23 off 17, but the rest of the batting order collapsed under pressure.

Bangladesh finished at 144/9, with Shoriful Islam unable to bat due to injury.

Pakistan’s bowling unit delivered a collective masterclass, led by spin sensation Abrar Ahmed, who impressed with 3 for 19. Supporting roles were played by Hasan Ali, Faheem Ashraf, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, Khushdil Shah, and Saim Ayub, each grabbing a wicket. Only skipper Salman Ali Agha went wicketless.

Sahibzada Farhan was named Player of the Match for his commanding knock of 74 off 41 balls, setting the tone early in the innings. Hasan Nawaz remained unbeaten with a power-packed 51 off 26, while Mohammad Haris added a swift 41 off 25 to boost the total.

Pakistan’s innings began with drama as opener Saim Ayub was run out for just 4. But Farhan, returning to the side in place of Fakhar Zaman, seized the spotlight with a blend of elegant timing and aggressive shot-making.

Bangladesh’s bowlers, Hasan Mahmud and Tanzim Hasan Sakib, picked up two wickets each, but couldn’t stop the hosts from posting yet another 200+ total, mirroring their dominance in the second T20I.

The third and final T20I will be played at the same venue on Sunday at 8 PM, giving Pakistan a chance to finish the series on a high and Bangladesh one last opportunity to salvage pride.
