Pakistan, Chinese Army Discuss Regional Security and Military Collaboration: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Commander of the People’s Liberation Army Ground Forces General Li Qiaoming on Monday called on Pakistan’s Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters on Monday, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a press release.

During the meeting, both sides discussed shared interests, regional security, military training, and steps to further strengthen bilateral defence cooperation in detail.

Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir highlighted the strong bond between the Pakistan Army and the People’s Liberation Army, noting that ongoing military collaboration reflects the deep-rooted brotherhood between the two nations.

During the meeting, General Li Qiaoming praised Pakistan’s commitment to fighting terrorism and extremism, commending the Pakistan Army’s professionalism and dedication, read the ISPR statement.

General Syed Asim Munir thanked General Li Qiaoming for the visit, reaffirming Pakistan’s appreciation for its close ties with China.

Earlier in the day, upon arriving at General Headquarters, General Li Qiaoming paid tribute at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada by laying a floral wreath and was honored with a guard of honor by a meticulously turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army, in a gesture of respect and hospitality.
