BEIJING/ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, has said that the friendship between Islamabad and Beijing getting stronger with each passing year.
“Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 73 years ago, Pakistan and China have forged a friendship that has only deepened with time,” Ambassador Hashmi remarked.
He emphasized the unique and exemplary nature of the relationship, characterized by mutual respect, trust, and support, which continues to serve as a driving force for peace, security, and development.
Ambassador Hashmi lauded the progress made in economic cooperation, particularly through initiatives like the Belt and Road Initiative and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which have elevated bilateral ties to new heights.
He underscored the commitment to further enhancing investment, and trade cooperation, as well as advancing educational, scientific, technological, and cultural exchanges for the mutual benefit of both nations.
Highlighting the recent advancements in space cooperation, Ambassador Hashmi noted that the friendship between Pakistan and China has transcended terrestrial boundaries.
The ambassador acknowledged that the successes achieved by the two countries together are a testament to their unity and shared goals.
He emphasized that the spirit of Pak-China friendship resonates not only within governments but also within the hearts of the people of both nations.
Looking towards the future with optimism, Ambassador Hashmi expressed determination to advance the partnership in new technologies, infrastructure, and sustainable development.
