NEW YORK: Pakistan has called for inclusive dialogue to ensure lasting peace and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The call was made by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, while addressing a UN Security Council debate on Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday, Radio Pakistan reported.

Ambassador Ahmad said that enduring peace, stability, and development for all people of Bosnia and Herzegovina can best be achieved by upholding the principles enshrined in the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for Bosnia’s sovereign right to choose its own partnerships and pursue integration into regional, political, and economic organizations.

The Ambassador emphasised that a constructive, forward-looking, and inclusive dialogue among all political actors and entities would further strengthen the process of internal reforms.

Highlighting the longstanding and friendly relations between Pakistan and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Ahmad reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and unity, and firmly opposed any rhetoric or actions that could undermine them.
