ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has the highest win ratio of the Champions Trophy teams in men’s One Day International (ODIs) in the last two years.
According to Cricinfo, Pakistan played 12 matches since the 2023 World Cup. The men in Green won 8 matches while the team have lost four matches in the last two years.
New Zealand also played 12 games but won only 7 matches in the same period. One match was tied while New Zealand lost four matches.
India won five matches out of 9 during the last two years. One match was tied while India had lost three matches in the same period.
Afghanistan played a total of 14 matches since the 2023 World Cup. One match was tied while Afghanistan won 8 games. Afghanistan cricket team also lost five matches during the last two years.
Australia won 7 matches out of 13 matches since the 2023 World Cup. Australians lost 6 matches during the same period.
Bangladesh played a total of 12 matches during last two years. They won four matches while lost 8 matches during the same period.
Cricinfo reported that England won four matches out of 14 matches while suffered defeat in 10 matches since 2023 World Cup.
ICC Champions Trophy
South African also won four matches out of 14 matches while lost 10 matches in the same period.
The Cricinfo issued the statics as Pakistan hosts ICC Champions Trophy and all arrangements have been finalised for the mega event.
Earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will return to Pakistan for the first time in 29 years. He said at the Curtain Raiser event in Lahore.

“This tournament is more than just cricket; it is an opportunity to showcase Pakistan’s hospitality and passion.”
Lahore Fort was carefully hand-picked as a perfectly symbolic location to officially light the torch for the tournament.
“The significance of the venue, (it) not only represents Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage but also underscores the deep-rooted legacy of cricket in the nation.”
“This is your moment to fill the stadiums,” Naqvi continued, addressing the Pakistan fans that have been patiently waiting for an ICC event to return.
Pakistan have been grouped with New Zealand, India and Bangladesh, while on the other side of the draw it’s Australia, England, South Africa and tournament debutants Afghanistan.
The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals.
