Pakistan-Belarus Joint Ventures Essential to Strengthen Industrial Base: Minister Kamal

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal on Tuesday called for the establishment of joint ventures between Pakistan and Belarus in the sectors of agriculture and industry to strengthen the industrial base.

While speaking at the Pakistan-Belarus Joint Ministerial Commission in Islamabad, the Commerce Minister emphasized that these partnerships aim to strengthen the industrial base, generate new employment opportunities and facilitate technology transfer between the two countries.

Minister Kamal invited Belarusian investors to explore the vast investment opportunities in Pakistan. He said that the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has been established to streamline and facilitate foreign investment across key sectors, including energy, technology, agriculture, and infrastructure.

The Commerce Minister said that building partnerships will drive economic growth and mutual prosperity in Pakistan and Belarus.

Jam Kamal said that both countries must work together to ensure the early finalization of the draft memorandum on cooperation in the field of environmental protection.

Minister Kamal also called for greater people-to-people contacts, cultural exchanges and educational collaborations between the two countries to further enhance the bilateral relations.
