ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Youth Volleyball Team has qualified for the volleyball final of the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025 in Bahrain, following a remarkable 3-1 victory over Indonesia in the semi-final.

This impressive achievement comes after a fierce battle, with Pakistan coming from behind to secure the win with set scores of 22–25, 25–12, 25–19, 26–24.

With this victory, Pakistan has qualified for the final, where they will face Iran on October 29, 2025, at 9:00 PM Pakistan Time at the Isa Bin Rashid Sports City Hall, Bahrain.

Despite a challenging start, where they lost the first set, the Pakistani team displayed incredible resilience, bouncing back with renewed energy, discipline, and high-quality volleyball.

Their performance left both spectators and opponents in awe, showcasing the team’s potential and grit.

Standout Players and Key Contributions

Muhammad Yahya, Muhammad Anas, Ajmal Junaid, and Muhammad Irfan emerged as the standout players of the match, each contributing crucial moments of skill, teamwork, and composure under pressure.

The collective effort of the team allowed them to break through Indonesia’s defence and ultimately secure their place in the final.

Ch. Muhammad Yaqoob, Chairman of the Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF), congratulated the players and coaching staff on their exceptional performance, calling it a “historic achievement.”

He expressed his confidence that the team would continue their momentum and strive for the Gold Medal.

“Congratulations to Team Pakistan! The way our young players have performed in this tournament is a matter of great pride for the entire nation,” Yaqoob remarked. “The boys have shown their true potential, discipline, and fighting spirit.”

Sohail Khawar Mir, President of PVF, also praised the team’s progress, highlighting the consistent growth of youth volleyball in Pakistan. He attributed their success to years of strategic development and hard work.

“This young team has been built through years of dedication and planning by the Pakistan Volleyball Federation. From the U16 Asian Championship to the U19 World Championships, these players have developed together and proven their worth at every level,” Mir stated.

“We are extremely grateful to Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC) for their support, which has been instrumental in the development of these young athletes.”

Legacy of Dedication and Support

The success of Pakistan’s U19 Youth Volleyball Team is the result of a four-year-long development strategy initiated by the PVF.

From their participation in the Asian U16 Championship to the U18 and U19 World Championships, these players have steadily grown into one of Asia’s most formidable teams.

As the final approaches, the entire nation stands united in supporting these young athletes who are set to make Pakistan proud on the Asian stage.
