Pakistan Beat Bangladesh in Asian Volleyball Championship

URMIA: Pakistan beat Bangladesh 3-0 in the first game of the 22nd Asian Senior Men’s Volleyball Championships on Sunday in Iran’s Urmia city.

Pakistan side will play their last group match against Korea on Monday which will determine their position in the knock-out phase.

Pakistan were on top from the start of the match against Bangladesh and kept their domination throughout the contest. Pakistan started the first set with a lead of 4 points before letting Bangladesh side score their first but extended their lead further with another strip of four consecutive points to win the first set 25-16.

The 2nd set started in the same way and Pakistan took a lead of 3-0 but then the opposite team made a good comeback, at one phase Bangladesh had the lead of 11-10 — and that was the only time when Bangladesh team were ahead of Green Shirts in the match — but a streak of eight consecutive points by Pakistan side disallowed their opposite side to be on driving seat and Pakistani team took the 2-0 lead by taking second set with a score of 25-14.

In the 3rd set, there was some confrontation by Bangladesh but eventually Pakistan completed the win by taking the last set 25-21. The final score of the men in the Green 3-0 win was 25-16, 25-14 and 25-21.
