Pakistan, Azerbaijan For Collaboration in IT and Telecom Sector

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s State Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima, and Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Khazar Farhadov, held extensive meeting on Friday. During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interests and collaboration in the IT and Telecommunication sector.

The Ambassador of Azerbaijan congratulated Shaza Fatima for assuming her office, said a news release. Both sides agreed on bolstering cooperation in the IT and telecom sector.

Shaza Fatima emphasized the fraternal relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, highlighting Pakistan’s profound esteem for its ties with Azerbaijan. She expressed Pakistan’s keenness to cultivate robust relations between the two countries in IT and Telecom.

Minister Shaza Fatima expressed Pakistan’s aspiration to launch a youth exchange program with Azerbaijan, emphasizing that exchanging start-ups between the nations would fortify relations. She stressed the significance of initiating a joint IT training program for the youth of both countries.

Furthermore, Shaza Fatima underscored Pakistan’s favorable environment for foreign direct investment, especially in the IT and Telecom sector. She highlighted the immense potential within Pakistan’s IT and telecom industry and pledged full cooperation with Azerbaijan in this domain.

Ambassador Khazar Farhadov acknowledged Pakistan’s advancements in the IT and Telecom sector, expressing Azerbaijan’s eagerness to deepen ties with Pakistan in Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
