Pakistan Army Soldier Martyred in IED Blast in Bannu: ISPR

PESHAWAR: A soldier of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom on Monday in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in the general area of Jani Khel in the Bannu district of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.

Clearance operation after blast

According to ISPR, an IED explosion targeted the Pak Army convoy in the Jani Khel area of Bannu. Sepoy Gul Sher (age 24 years, resident of district Khyber) embraced martyrdom in the blast.

Clearance operation of the area is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists in the area, ISPR said.
