PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Army successfully conducted a rescue operation in Kumrat Valley, evacuating two tourists in urgent need of medical help and shifting them to Peshawar by helicopter. Muhammad Abid Khan traveled from Karachi to explore the natural beauty of Kumrat Valley with his family on August 28. However, they got stuck because of flash floods and bad weather in the area.
Abid Khan’s health deteriorated speedily, and he faced a severe shortage of essential medicines, threatening his life, local media reported. On receiving the news, Pakistan Army immediately dispatched a helicopter to rescue the tourists in the remote area.The visiting family expressed gratitude to Pakistan Army for its timely reply and prayed for honor and success of the Pakistan Army.
