Pakistan and Belarus Mark 30 Years of Diplomatic Relations

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Belarus are commemorating three decades of diplomatic relations, a milestone celebrated with messages of goodwill exchanged between Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik.

Minister Jilani conveyed appreciation for the positive trajectory of bilateral ties, expressing Pakistan’s commitment to fostering a deeper and mutually beneficial partnership with Belarus.

The respective ambassadors in Islamabad and Minsk joined in the celebrations, meeting the Foreign Ministers to present congratulatory messages. The bilateral relations between Pakistan and Belarus are characterized by mutual respect, trust, and constructive dialogue, anchored in the Islamabad Declaration of Pakistan-Belarus Partnership and the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation signed in 2015.

Over the years, this diplomatic relationship has witnessed continuous growth, marked by frequent high-level exchanges and robust collaboration in economic, industrial, and agricultural sectors. As a tangible outcome of this flourishing partnership, Pakistan and Belarus recently concluded a Visa Abolishment Agreement specifically catering to Diplomatic and Official Passport holders, further facilitating diplomatic interactions.

The anniversary serves as a moment of reflection on the achievements and shared endeavors between the two nations, highlighting the enduring nature of their friendship. The commitment expressed by both sides underscores the aspiration to strengthen ties across various domains, contributing to regional stability and cooperation.
