MOSCOW: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia, Shafqat Ali Khan, affirmed that enhancing relations with Russia remains a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy.

Addressing a commemorative event in Moscow to mark Pakistan’s 76th Independence Day, Ambassador Khan highlighted the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Russia relations and expressed optimism about their continued strengthening.

The Ambassador lauded the invaluable role of the Pakistani community in Russia, emphasizing their contribution to fostering cooperation and fostering closer ties between the two nations.

Pakistan’s Embassy in Moscow Celebrates Independence Day

The Embassy of Pakistan in Moscow hosted a celebratory event in honor of Pakistan’s 76th independence anniversary. The occasion featured a performance by a Russian string quartet from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, who presented classical adaptations of iconic Pakistani songs such as ‘Jeevay Jeevay’, ‘Sohni Dharti’, and ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’.

The Pakistani community residing in the Russian Federation also participated enthusiastically, presenting national songs and showcasing the talents of children on stage. The performance received widespread acclaim from the audience, which included members of the Pakistani community in Russia, embassy staff, and Russian friends of Pakistan.

The event highlighted the significance of people-to-people connections in strengthening bilateral relations and promoting cultural understanding between Pakistan and Russia.
