LARKANA: In a swift action, Primary Education Director Gulsher Somroo on Friday suspended 19 teachers — both female and male — for being absent for an extended period from duty in Larkana schools.
The Education Director said the decision was taken against the suspended teachers due to their continual absenteeism in the education department since 2018.

The long absence of primary school teachers is a common practice in Pakistan’s Sindh province. Furthermore, several ghost school teachers have also been revealed in the province. However, authorities are reluctant to take strict action against the teachers.
