Pak vs NZ: Tim Southee Completes 350 Wickets in Test Cricket

KARACHI: New Zealand bowler Tim Southee has completed 350 wickets in Test cricket, becoming the third Kiwi bowler to do so. 

The 34-year-old veteran reached the milestone during New Zealand’s first Test against Pakistan at National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi. He claimed 3 wickets at the loss of 69 as the hosts batted in their first innings.

Southee made the achievement in 89 matches at an average of 28.94 and an economy rate of 3.00. His best bowling figures in an innings are 7/64 and 10/108 in a single Test match.

Pak vs NZ: Karachi Test

New Zealand is currently batting against Pakistan on day three of the first Test of two-match series. The tourists closed the second day at 165, 273 runs behind Pakistan’s first innings total of 438, which saw a record-breaking performance by skipper Babar Azam in which he scored 161.

The series started on December 26 in Karachi and will move to Multan for the second game starting January 3. The test series will be followed by three day-night One Day Internationals (ODIs) back in Karachi from January 10 to 14.
