Pak-UK Business Opportunities Conference Held in UK

LONDON: The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has organized the sixth Pak-UK Business Opportunities Conference at Queens Land Hotel Leeds, United Kingdom, local media reported.

Mayor of Yorkshire Tracy Brabin was the chief guest on the occasion, RCCI said in a press release on Sunday. The main purpose of the trade conference was to expand bilateral cooperation in different sectors, particularly IT, poultry, garments, food, textiles and machinery.

In his address, RCCI top official Saqib Rafiq underlined the aim of organizing Business Opportunities Conference in Leeds and said that Britain was a major trading partner of Pakistan.

Conference highlights SIFC’s role

He also underlined SIFC’s role and establishment of business facilitation in 6 major cities of Punjab including Rawalpindi, adding such initiatives would build more confidence and attract more Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) in Pakistan.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked between RCCI and the West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce (WNYCC) to bolster collaboration and networking.
