ISLAMABAD: The head of the Pakistan-Russia Friendship Group in the Russian Federation Council, Senator Vladimir Chizhov, on Wednesday called on Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and discussed matters of mutual interest.
Senator Chizhov is in Pakistan as an International Observer for the general elections scheduled for tomorrow (February 8).
During the meeting, the foreign minister emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to conducting free and fair elections. He provided insights into the electoral process and highlighted the security measures in place to ensure a peaceful and transparent election.
Furthermore, the foreign minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation with Russia for the mutual benefit of both nations.
