ISLAMABAD: After an upward trend last week, the Pakistani rupee witnessed a downward trend, but with slight devaluation as on Friday, the local currency lost 21 paisa against the American Dollar in the interbank trading and closed at Rs 285.82 against Rs 285.61 the last day.
Meanwhile, the buying and selling rates of the Greenback were witnessed at Rs 297.5 and Rs 300, respectively in the open market.
Pak Rupee Against Euro, Pound, Riyal and Others
Unlike the Greenback, the value of most of the other major currencies decreased. The price of the Euro went down by 78 paisas to close at Rs 308.11 against Rs 308.89 on Wednesday, according to the SBP.
The Japanese Yen responded the same way and was declined 01 paisa to close at Rs 2.06. The exchange rate of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal were increased by 05 paisas and 06 paisas to close at Rs. 77.83 and Rs.76.21, respectively.
