Pak Rupee Gains Slightly Against US Dollar in Interbank

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani rupee witnessed a slight improvement 3 paisas against the US dollar (USD) in the interbank trading and closed at Rs286.71 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs286.74.

 

 

However, the open market remained stable and buying and selling rates of the American dollar was observed in the range of Rs289.5 to Rs292. For a couple of weeks, the greenback was hardly available in the open market below Rs300. However last few days the consumers say they were now getting it below the 300 benchmark.

 

Pak Rupee Against Other Currencies

 

Unlike the US dollar, the price of the Euro witnessed an increase by 56 paisas to close at Rs312.22 compared to the last day’s closing of Rs311.66 while the Japanese Yen remain unchanged to close at Rs 2.

Meanwhile, the British Pound recorded an increase of Rs0.59 in the exchange rate and was traded at Rs365.18 against the previous day’s closing of Rs364.59.

 

The exchange rate of the Saudi Riyal went up by 01 paisa close at Rs 76.44 and that of the Emirates Dirham went down by 01 paisa to settle close at Rs 78.05.
