Pak Rupee Depreciates by 99 Paisa against US Dollar

ISLAMABAD: The exchange rate for the Pakistani rupee went down by 99 paisa against the American dollar in the interbank trading on Tuesday, while closing at Rs276.28 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs275.29.

As per reports of the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of the American dollar in the open market were witnessed at Rs279 and Rs282.00, respectively.

According to the SBP (State Bank of Pakistan), the price of the euro went down by 54 paisa and closed at Rs296.42 as compared to the last day’s closing of Rs296.96.

The Japanese yen closed without change at Rs2.09, while the british pound experienced an increase of 07 paisa in the exchange rate, which was traded at Rs332.13 against its last closing of Rs332.06 on Monday.

The value of the Emirates dirham and Saudi riyal appreciated by 26 paisa each to close at Rs75.21 and Rs73.63, respectively.
