Pak Rupee Declines by 25 Paisas Against US Dollar

ISLAMABAD: The value of the Pakistani rupee depreciated by 25 paisas against the American dollar in interbank trading on Wednesday and closed at Rs228.90 as compared to Rs228.65 on the previous day.

As per reports of the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the selling and buying rates of the dollar in the open market were witnessed at Rs236.75 and Rs239, respectively.

Pak Rupee Against Other Currencies

The euro value was also appreciated by Rs1.10 and closed at Rs248.61 compared to closing on Tuesday at Rs247.51, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

However, the Japanese yen closed without change at Rs1.77, whereas the British pound witnessed an increase of Rs3.36 and was traded at Rs282.64 against Rs279.28 on the previous day.

Meanwhile, the exchange rates of the Saudi riyal and Emirates dirham increased by 7 paisas each to close at Rs60.94 and Rs62.32, respectively.
