Pak-Navy Ship Arrives in Qatar to Protect FIFA World Cup

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy warship (PNS) Tabuk arrived at a port in Qatar to provide security, helping the oil- and gas-rich sheiks host the FIFA World Cup on Tuesday.

The warship arrived in the port of Qatar where senior officers of the port of Doha and members of the Pakistan Embassy welcomed the navy. The commanding officer of the Pak-Navy discussed the maritime protection of the FIFA world cup event during meetings with the leadership of Qatar’s navy.

Pak-navy said that the development is an expression of confidence in the institution’s professionalism.

Qatar has officially requested security forces from 13 countries to assist local partners in making sure of a seamless World Cup, with Pakistan being the largest contributor.

Pakistan’s government send more than 4,000 military, navy troops, and air force of all ranks. They make the nation the most significant participation in FIFA World Cup stadiums and hotels in Qatar.
