Pak-Japan: Pakistani Students Will Visit Japan to Further Deepen Ties

ISLAMABAD:  A delegation of nine Pakistani students will visit Japan in February under the Japan-SAARC Network Program. Reports said that the students will visit along with their supervisor at the invitation of the Japanese Government.

The envoy of Japan to Pakistan, Mitsuhiro Wada congratulated the students upon their selection for the youth exchange program. The ambassador said that it will be a lifetime opportunity for the young minds to learn about Japan.

Mitsuhiro Wada was speaking at a pre-departure orientation session, which was organized by the Embassy of Japan for the visiting delegation to convey necessary information and hand over travel documents to them before their departure.

While highlighting the significance of people-to-people exchange, the envoy stated that the exchange of people particularly the youth was “probably the most productive way” to further enhance the ties between the two sides.

Expressing his best wishes, the envoy hoped that the visiting Pakistani students, besides nurturing friendships with the Japanese youth, will also find ample opportunities to learn and enjoy life, culture, and historical heritage during their stay in Japan.

The students’ delegation comprises four high school students from Westminster Academy Islamabad along with a supervisor, and five undergraduate students from COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad campus, said a statement issued here on Friday by the Embassy of Japan.
