ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) contingent has reached Turkiye to participate in the seventh consecutive edition of the International Anatolian Eagle 2023 drills with its hi-tech and state-of-the-art fighter Jets.
The exercise is mainly held for air defence purposes and is amongst the most important military organizations in the world with its latest electronic warfare systems and large airspace reserved for the drills. The Fighter Jets of Pakistan landed at the third Main Jet Base, Konya, in Turkiye, starting on 2 May and ending on 12 May 2023.
Fighter jets of other countries
Apart from Pakistan and Turkiye, 5 more nations are also participating in drills with their fighter jets, including Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and the United Kingdom.
Pakistan is participating with F-16C/D Fighter Jets, UAE with F-16E/F Fighter Jets, Azerbaijan with SU-25 Fighter Jets, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with its F-15SAs, Qatar with Eurofighter Jets, and the United Kingdom Royal Air Force is participating in the exercise with Eurofighter Typhoon jets. Turkiye is seeking an alternative solution against French Rafale Fighter Planes.
