Pak Army and Swat Police Conduct Joint Search Operation in Kanju

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Army and Swat police on Friday conducted a joint grand search and strike operation in various areas of Kanju, Swat, in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

On the special instructions of Regional Police Officer Sajjad Khan and District Police Chief Zahid Nawaz Marwat, Swat police and Pakistan Army conducted the joint search against anti-national and criminal elements in Kanju.

Pakistan Army troops, the Elite Force, the Counter-Terrorism Department, he Bomb Disposal Squad, and Kanju police took part in the search and strike operation.

The search and strike operation was conducted in the areas of Seagram, Ghorijo, Imam Dherai, Jalwan, Koza Bandai and Damghar within the Kanju Police Station limits.

Dignitaries of the area were taken on board prior to launching the search operation.

During the operation, former Schedule IV suspects were also interrogated.

District Police Officer Zahid Nawaz Marwat said that search operations will continue at various places in the district to protect the life and property of the people.

He said tha monitoring will conctinue and no one will be allowed to challenge the writ of government institutions and disturb peace. He said that joint search and strike operations of police and the Pakistan Army will be conducted against criminals in the future as well.
