Pak-Afghan Border Issue

Last month Torkham border remained closed for several days due to a scuffle between security forces from both sides over the construction of a check post by Afghan forces, causing huge losses to commuters, transporters, and travelers from Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Earlier on December 11 last year, 6 Pakistani civilians were killed and scores of others injured due to firing from Afghan forces on the same border, which led to the closure of the border for several days.
