ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Day was celebrated with great spirit and fervor at Pakistan Airforce Forces (PAF) Bases and installations across the county on Thursday.
The day-long celebrations commenced with special prayers after Fajar for the solidarity, progress and development of Pakistan and the Muslim World.
To celebrate this auspicious day in a befitting way a guard mounting and wreath laying ceremony was organized at the mausoleum of the national poet and philosopher Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
PAF contingent on Pakistan Day
A smartly turned out contingent of PAF took over guard duties from Satluj Rangers.
Air Vice Marshal Syed Imran Majid Ali, the chief guest laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha at the grave of Iqbal on behalf of Chief of the Air Staff and PAF.
Air Commodore Tanveer Ahmed and other PAF high-ranking officers were also present on the occasion. –APP
