ISLAMABAD: Punjab Assembly speaker Sibtain Khan on Thursday formed a parliamentary committee to decide the name of Punjab’s caretaker chief minister among those suggested both by the treasury and opposition benches.
The speaker read out the names submitted for the slot of the caretaker chief minister and formed a committee to decide on the matter as per the constitutional provisions.
Committee members
The committee included the names of Raja Basharat Raja, Aslam Iqbal and Hashim Jawan Bakht from the government coalition, while Hasan Murtaza and Malik Ahmed Khan would represent the opposition.
