Ozzy Osbourne Cancels all Shows, Saying his Touring Career over

ISLAMABAD/: English singer and songwriter Ozzy Osbourne announced the cancellation of his upcoming shows, saying his touring career is over as ‘he is not physically able for it.’

The 74-year-old Ozzy, in a statement on Wednesday, said four years ago, he had a significant accident that hurt his spine; therefore, he can no longer travel required for a tour.

“My only purpose during this time has been to get back on stage,” he said. “My singing voice is fine. However, my body is still physically weak after stem cell treatments, three operations, endless physical therapy, and most recently, groundbreaking Cybernetics (HAL) Treatment.”

Ozzy Osbourne earned Grammy Awards for his solo work and that of the band Black Sabbath, which he left in 1978, during his career that began while he was a member of the groundbreaking heavy metal group.

His farewell UK and European tour were set to start in May in Helsinki, Finland. The heavy metal legend has recently suffered several health issues, revealing his catching Covid-19 in 2022, undergoing surgery two months later, and Parkinson’s diagnosis in January 2020.

He added that his team is currently working on different ideas for where he will be able to perform, avoiding travel. He ended the statement by thanking his family, band, crew, longtime friends, Judas Priest, and fans “for their endless support, loyalty, dedication, and for giving him the life he never dreamed he would have.”
