ISLAMABAD: During the duration between 1 Muharram and Jamad-ul-Awal of 1444 AH the number of worshippers who prayed at the Prophet’s Mosque was 81 million, according to a Saudi Gazette report.
Dr Sheikh Abdulrahman Bin Abdulaziz Al Sudais, Presidency of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques’ President disclosed this figure.
Dr Al Sudais also stated that eight million plus worshippers had prayed at the Rouza Sharif of the Prophet’s Mosque and at the old campus.
In addition to this data, Dr Al Sudais revealed that seven million visitors greeted Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and the Prophet’s companions.
Facilities for worshippers, visitors
Regarding the facilitation of rituals for the visitors and worshippers, Dr Al Sudais mentioned that every required service was utilized while every obstacle was removed.
