UN warns number of IDPs could rise
The report warned against the potential rise of global displacement in next 30 years.
Malik Khan, who came to Kabul from Laghman province a few years ago due to unrest in the area, told Afghan media that his main issue is that Taliban government is not giving any kind of assistance to internally displaced people.
He added that in the last two years, he only received 50 kilograms of oil and 5 kilograms of peas as assistance. Other displaced people have sought assistance from Taliban authorities and aid organizations to help them.
Poverty is a factor that has forced Afghan people to leave their homes in addition to insecurity and conflict.
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) had reported a massive increase in the number of internally displaced people in Afghanistan. According to the organization about six million people have been displaced in Afghanistan so far.
